Julie and Raphaël did not follow a conventional path into hospitality. Lakita Lodge brings together a lifetime of passion for adventure, wilderness, sled dogs and the North with decades of professional experience in strategy and luxury. Long before the lodge, they shared the same dream: to invite others into the remote North with the care and refinement such moments deserve. Today, as your lead guides, they bring that dream to life personally — shaping each stay with the knowledge, attention and passion that define Lakita Lodge.
Behind every fire lit, meal served, trail prepared and adventure brought to life, there is a team dedicated to making your stay feel effortless — united by care, craft and a deep connection to the North
Julie’s mother, Isabelle, has run the world’s toughest long-distance sled dog races. Founder of the family kennel and still active in mushing, she brings a lifetime of knowledge, stories and love for sled dogs. When at Lakita as Special Guest, she guides with the dogs and shares rare insight into true long-distance mushing.
